I must say, I am shocked that no one has done a thread on Kate Moss yet. She was one of the most beautiful and certainly is one of the most influential models out there. Anyway, shocks aside, what do you girls think of her? Both when she was young and now in her, erm, slightly tarnished state?

She's so beautiful, but I kind of forget because I've seen so much of her now, and her early stuff gets overridden in my brain by the photos I see of her these days, which make me sad. I wish beauty would last forever! Some current fashion models are working because they're tall and thin, but have totally forgettable or even downright ugly faces. Kate, though, is really, really lovely and no-one else looks like her. One of the most beautiful people.

I remember when she first got famous everyone thought it was a scandal she was so thin, but compared to the girls on the runway now she's positively tubby!

So true! I really don't understand all the scandal - she hardly even had collarbones when she was young. Her body looked like any other healthy teenager's to me.

When she was young she was absolutely stunning and you can definitely see why she became a model but now I am not a fan at all. I wish designers and magazines would stop using her, she looks awful now. She's way overrated, yes she was stunning when she was young but she's not strikingly beautiful . There are other models a lot more beautiful than her and I say lets talk about them instead of her. Move aside Kate Moss, your time is up!

I totally loved her when she was young but nowadays I've got to admit I think she looks horrible and, well, almost disgusting sometimes. Kate Moss successfully demonstrates where all those cigarretes and the alcohol can lead you.

Same goes for Heidi Klum, Tyra Banks, Claudia Schiffer, Bar Refaeli (not age- but body-wise) and many other has-beens.
I´m sorry if I offended some fans, but I´m not sorry for the ladies. Once you only look good when a photo is taken in a certain light and shopped beyond recognition, you know it´s time to step back.

I like her in her younger days she is stunning but she has always been a bit overated and I think she should stop now..

For me she is an Icon and an inspiration as a model and also her style and fashion sense ...of course young kate was incredibly gorgeous but I think shes fine now. For me she still is very beautiful despite her skin, weight or whatever I mean she is not 20 anymore she is 38, how can you expect someone to look the same as in her 20s...yes she partied hard but thats her own bussiness and I bet she enjoyed every bit of it
And also almost every model that everybody loves now is a big smoker so their skin might be the same in the future....

Fair point there. I just wonder how much her smoking and drugs have affected her health? In some recent pictures she looks beautiful for her age, but in others she just looks downright unhealthy. I don't know if it's worth partying that hard if your body has to pay for it later...

^^Some models and celebrities are older and don't look as 'damaged' by time as Kate does. She could have taken a bit more care of herself and look so much better now. 38 is not 20 I agree, but it's not THAT old either.

I couldnt/wouldnt keep up with her lifestyle of partying....but I guess it came with her world. From a young age she was surrounded by parties and famous party people and she always loved the rock scene and yoy know how it goes in there, so it became her lifestyle. And she seems like a very social person meaning she loves hanging with her group of friends and having a good time.
For me she is like a rock star haha a model rock star...

Well yeah she might not look perfect but at least she is not a botox/shiny/plastic face like nicole kidman for example....
