Excuse the cringe worthy name of this thread - I wasn't sure what else to name it and 'make-over vs make-under' seemed the most accurate way to sum-up what this thread is all about: to discuss the various transformations/makeovers a model has undergone during the course of her career (the good, the bad, the ugly, the controversial!). These transformations could include different hair, plastic surgery, an image overhaul (eg. from commercial to high fashion). The only 'transformation' category this thread does not cover is weight - we have the Models: Before & After Weight Gain (or Loss) thread for that.
To kick things off, I thought I'd start with some model hair transformations:
Category: Girl Next Door to Edgy
Marjan
As much as I find her facial expressions annoying (those of you who follow (or used to follow!) her on Insta, will know what I mean) I can't deny the shaggy blonde hair is definitely an improvement to the plain mousey brown hair she used to have.
Steinberg
I think the shorter length and darker colour definitely suits her cool girl/bitch/sullen image. Though I almost would've preferred if they hadn't dyed her hair quite as dark.
Sora Choi
She was stunning before but I definitely prefer Sora with her shorter darker hair. She's lost some weight too of course since the first picture - I don't know if she could've pulled off the shorter hair when she was heavier.
Category: Is that even the same model?
Stella Maxwell
No words needed
Taja Feistner
Like a better version of Agyness Deyn
Category: Blonde Ice Queens
Ginta Lapina
Kate Kina
Kate is a newish face signed with Andy Fiord Models, Elite NYC and Silent Paris. IMO she looked like a Walmart catalogue model in the first pic - definitely waaayy better with the blonde (and short) hair!
Category: Looks Amazing Regardless
Abbey Lee
I love brunette and blonde Abbey. Though maybe "looks amazing regardless" isn't the right category for Abbey as it seems most people prefer 'old Abbey' (i.e brunette Abbey) to platinum blonde Abbey. If I had to choose though, I think I prefer blonde Abbey.
Kate Moss
I don't think anyone can deny that Kate looks amazing as a blonde and brunette.
Category: What was she thinking
Kate Moss
I remember when she cut her hair, everyone raved about it (I suppose it was very fashionable at the time) but this is definitely a make-under IMO.
What are your favourite or most hated model transformations?
