Cong He stars in The Blue Lotus, a short film by Leslie Zhang

@lesliezhang1992 The Blue Lotus—my first narrative short.

Born out of water, He Cong takes the shape of a wide-eyed ingenue and wanders through the tranquility of a small town and scenic mountains. And in 3 days’ time, her life as a human will come to an abrupt end. Will she stay or will she evaporate like a drop of summer rain?

The film is eerily breathtaking. I've always loved Zhang's cinematic aesthetic and I'm excited to see him get into filmmaking! Cong was perfectly cast for this. She and Zhang are a great combo for film and photography
