she gained a lot of weight imo (maybe only 10 pounds or something, but it's noticeable) her face looks very chubby and her clothing would look so so much better on a thinner person.

Actually, she's gained a lot of weight since she reached her teens years. She used to be skinny in her childhood.

man, Dakota Fanning has the worst personal style - every picture I see of her these days, she looks kind of dirty and superbly unfashionable.
Her chin is awful. She looks nothing like she used to when she was younger, such a shame. I actually liked her, she was such a cute kid. Now she looks less than average, there is nothing at all interesting in her looks at this weight.
It's so annoying, how all the Hollywood actresses gained. There are only models left for inspiration, and with all the plus-sized tendency... the future is grim.

That's what I'm scared of too.
Is it just me or was there more varity in sizes on tv in the 90's? There would mostly be skinny little things but there would always be curvies and fatties too.
Just think of the curvy-loving 50's. Sure there were Marilyn and Elizabeth, but there were also a Grace Kelly for the slim and an Audrey for the twiggys.
Now everyone just have the same average/fat-ish body. Does no one care anymore? Only actresses with okay bodies and the b-listers in eg. horrors

She looks like she's properly creeping on him.... while he's eyes forward trying to watch the tennis!
I think she has a really sweet face, and i like her acting a lot, especially in one of her latest movies, very good girls. She looks slimmer in that movie, mainly her upper bodey, but her legs are still look chunky.
But i still think she lost some pounds lately. I hope she keeps up the good work!

Dodgy style, awkward goofiness, and extra weight aside, I have always gotten the feeling from Dakota that she's a rare decent chick amidst all the Hollywood whorage in her age group. She's less overexcited by fame and celebrity than her little sister Elle, and was the kind of intelligent child actor you looked at and expected they would grow up to be a smarter & more classy ex-child actor (as opposed to la femmes Lohan, Cyrus, etc.).
I'd suggest that's why that rather handsome chap is into her, she's a good lass, and even in her plumpness and gee-i-guess-fashion-doesn't-come-naturally-to-you-huh-Dakota outfits she's nonetheless not exactly ugly by a long shot. She's still pretty as is, but may lose the pudge as she grows up, and goodness then she'll just be stunning - that shot in the black cropped cami with matching ?skirt - she's got amazing bone structure and a great frame beneath those few kilos there!
She reminds me of Gemma not just in face structure but also in that there's more to her than a desperation to sell every inch of her life to the celebrity merry-go-round, and that's an exceedingly marvellous thing.
