Eating Disorder Movies

I am the same way. These movies are a weakness of mine. I don't know why but I get so sucked in. Whether they're fictional stories or documentaries about EDs, I find them fascinating. ED movies give me such a distinct sense of sadness that's different from anything else. I don't know why or how to explain it, but I seek out that feeling that they give me.

I'm glad to hear I'm not alone! I thought I was crazy or obsessed for a second :p And yes, I agree! They have that effect.

;)

i loved the movie 'for the love of nancy'... i loved how the actress performed, but it was also a very sad movie:cry:

I find them very interesting . It's healthy to have an interest in the various issues that affect different individuals I think.

Especially with something like ED's as we as a weight conscious group are more closely exposed to it and there's a thin line/ grey area that can be easily crossed if we're not careful or push ourselves too hard.

Some people view ED movies as extremely harmful rather than educational as they trigger some people. But usually you have to have a mental inkling as in anorexic thoughts, tendencies and a tension, emotional stress tied to food etc.

However if you're in a good place but are very careful /worried about weight gain and / or weightloss then they can be very helpful coz it gives you guidelines.

Sooo after that probably unnecessary lecture/ rant. I like them. Not 'like' but I find them very interesting and educational.

I've seen a few, I didn't care for any of them. They were just overly dramatic in my opinion.
