Fashion No No

I agree with most if not all of the offenses listed above, but I have one to add: MOM JEANS! Why, oh why, when walking in Toronto the other day did I see three teenage girls, probably 13 or 14 wearing mom jeans! You are wayyy too young to look that terrible. I'm sorry, but not even models can pull this off.

Great thread @classichic!

I'm gonna stick my neck out here and say that I hate jeans. I just don't like denim. I actually broke up with someone over this once...

Also:
sportswear for non-sport activities
any type of footwear that disables you to the point where you can't walk properly
quiffs
black trousers + white shoes
Uggs
most leather non-shoe garments
combat trousers
cammo print
tie-dye
putting your cigarettes in your cleavage on a night out

Aaah thats something, cause I nearly never meet people who don´t like it :D I only dislike the classic blue denim (no matter which blue..all of them :p) I have to say, cause on some days I like to wear black jeans or grey jeans. But I own maybe two grey and three black ones cause I rarely wear trousers.

The reason why blue denim started to get on my nerves was because everyone wears it all day, its so boring...plus it often just doesn´t look good, people combine it with horrible colours cause its said that "denim fits with everything" - maybe I´m dumb, but I disagree on that...dark blue denim with uhm... for example light green looks just bad in my eyes.

I won´t start talking about how awful jeans look on people who are fat or have very short chunky legs... ;) We all know about that.

Mom jeans are specifically jeans that are really high cut, right up to the waist and kind of taper down to the bottom. Basically, it makes you look like you have a really long, flat butt.

Hi! Although, technically I'm a bit of a fraud :nervous: I live in Mississauga. I still have friends in Toronto, but don't get down there as much as I used to.

Plus, I read on the Metro that the people are mean lol

1. Whatever doesn't fit. If you're a size 8, don't wear a 4, but don't wear a 12 either.
2. Too much makeup. This is the street, not the runway
3. UGG boots!!!
4. CROCS!!!
5. Trainers outside the gym
6. Sweatpants if not exercising or sleeping or at home. Newsflash: Even if they have JUICY written across your butt, it will always look sloppy
7. TIGHTS ARE NOT DAMN PANTS!
8. Too short skirts with too high heels and too cropped tops with too much cleavage... We know who that girls is
9. When we can see your underwear, you know you are wrong
10. Too much of everything.

Another faux pas, I guess Karl Lagerfeld and Anna Wintour would hate me...
But I just don't understand the whole sunglasses thing indoors

It's just one of those things that almost no one can get away with, but for a really select few, it just works.

my sister always does that, especially on the tube and it drives me nuts but every time I try telling her to take hers off she brings up Karl and Anna because she knows I can't argue with that.

Actually, you can: "you're not Anna."

A crime: flip flops on women.*

A worse crime: flip flops on men.**

Clothes with obvious labels plastered over your chest or butt (Abercrombie, Bebe, Juicy, etc.) This makes you look like a walking advertisement who isn't even getting paid to do so

Basically all labels annoy me for the same reason—even high end labels such as Louis Vuitton, Gucci, etc. This just screams insecurity to me, and makes the person wearing it seem vapid and desperate for social status. If you're going to use the "I only buy the name brands for the higher quality" rationale, I'm going to call bs on that because the companies offer cleaner designs that don't have the brand name conspicuously plastered all over the product. No matter how expensive a clothing item or accessory might be, having an obvious logo or name on it just makes it look trashy to me.

Oh and even worse, fake bags that are obviously fake, like coach bags with G's instead of C's. *cringe*

Flip Flops in men HORRID! worst if they wear it with long pants....

I hate camo printed anything. The only time that it's acceptable I'd when you are actually hunting or in the military. I live in the southern US and camo is like a plague here. Girls wear it all the time and look so unkempt. Guys just look like jerks in it.
