Like no one compares to Kate moss imo. And if you're getting compared to someone when you're supposedly a supermodel- you're not a supermodel yet.

It's funny cuz all the models you listed now are kinda off the grid while Kate moss is still being talked about.

(Sorry for all my activity I feel like I'm posting every other post just cuz I get notifications and have been on the train/ubers n bored)

ok I'm aware he's a dude and this is Gigi's thread, but another Hadid...

we have a thread titles "The Hadids" :) no worries though because everyone sort of just posts shit about all of them on either thread- just mentioning it because you seemed concerned

Also, everyone is ugly in that family.

haha thanks, I didn't know that! Yes.. I know that's really hard to achieve something in this industry and they have everything they want, because of their family.. It just doesn't seem fair... And Gigi's not even trying to be a good model

I read a comment somewhere about this (can't remember the source) but it was all too true: Fashion publications will now essentially be Hadid family albums.

Dear god what is happening? When things reach this magnitude I can't help but be reminded of other family "empires" monopolizing on media frenzy, forcing ever member arbitrarily down our throats. Kardashians and Baldwins and Hadids, oh my.

Ps as much as I love Yolanda, I find it suspicious that she's opted to change her last name back to Hadid in light of her recent divorce. She said it's because she wants to match her children. It seems a convenient way to latch onto the name best known in the media, whereas reclaiming her maiden last name would be more obscuring. I can't speak for her of course or definitively call out her reasoning, but again, it just seems a bit convenient, gratuitous etc.

met the woman many times and she is definitely a very kind person, but also the 'do anything for your family' type, which lends itself to this kind of behavior. Super ambitious

I reckon few more weeks and Kylie Jenner will become a "legit" model :slap:

As for Yolanda, she's just their mother and she wants the best for them, but in my opinion by doing this she's actually doing the opposite...

Modeling isn't even "modeling" anymore. As much as everyone talks about the "fashion industry" changing - it actually is. It's not as elite as it used to be - you don't even really need an agency if you want to work with photographers all you need is 10k plus instagram followers or have a famous last name.

We can all thank the Kardashians for making reality TV mainstream and infiltrating their way into high fashion. But they're all aging and kinda becoming irrelevant - we'll have the hadid's for most of our lifetime!! YAY.

IMG signed Cameron Dallas, I'm not the least bit surprised that they signed Anwar. Disappointed, yes, but not surprised. IMG has become a haven for celebrity children with close to 0 potential (hellooo Sistine Stallone)

Please god no!

And there's the Trump girl too :headbang:

Ella Richards is the only celebrity spawn of recent to make any impression on me with regard to coming anywhere close to having the goods to model on her own terms.

On this note, should we have a thread just for "models" who are only signed with agencies due to being related to models or having famous families? Sistine Stalone, Immy Waterhouse, Lottie Moss, Kaia Gerber, now Anwar Hadid? So we can have one place to talk about all of them, compare their work, and the collective industry / changes that make being a model so accessible for people with convenient last names? I wasn't sure if it should go in the model, celebrity, industry or takedown section though ...

Good for her honestly
Such a stunning face, would love to see her actually fit in with the HF girls

Gigi? I feel like she'll never fit in with HF ... just her face, body structure, she's more swim/commercial/sporty, like SI and Guess and VS Pink. I can see Bella fitting in much more with HF girls if she loses more weight, she's got more of that face / attitude / style.

Yeah, I feel for Gigi honestly. She needs to appeal to SI, VS/Pink, and HF.... Which all require completely different body types. I'm sure she's struggling to cater to all three.

Bella's really started to grow on me... Maybe not as a model but just in general. Definitely prefer her to Gigi

Really? Not a fan of either but Gigi at least makes sense in the VS/Pink category (not skinny, very vanilla, etc) but Bella belongs nowhere to me. It's an embarrassment either models but commercial wise I think Gigi makes way more sense.

*not saying I like Gigi as a model, I hate them both just see 0 appeal in Bella.
