Margaret Qualley

She has a very expressive face, a quirky kind of beautiful!
Also she has definitely lost weight since the Kenzo commercial that put her in the spotlight that Taylor swift tried to painfully imitate.

Margaret: an actress with a background in dance

Taylor's lame ripoff

Sorry for the double post but she just posted some new shoots in the last hour that are quite easy on skinny-loving eyes.

She played Ann Reinking in Fosse / Verdon and was fantastic! Looked skinny as ever, and got to show off her dancing skills.

The real Ann Reinking (and her long long legs) as a reference.

If you like Margaret I would give the show a watch! She doesn't come in until later in the series but is wonderful in her role. The rest of the show is great as well, lots of dancing, lots of skinny bodies.

gotta love Margaret and her consistency

here she is in some screen grabs from her new film My Salinger Year and some photos of her out and about (so glad that she has seemed to use the quarantine order to continue taking care of her body too)

She started in a (NSFW) music video for her sister’s new song alongside Shia LaBeouf and she is looking as dainty and beautiful as always (I also have a pretty big crush on Shia so i’m definitely eating this up lol)

So she’s confirmed dating Shia, which after the music video I’m not surprised. But it is interesting considering the lawsuit against him by FKA Twigs.

I have a high opinion of both Twigs and Margaret, and I lean to sexual abuse accusations most often being true. It more raises the question of if they can change, mature and deserve love after being the abuser in an ex-relationship. I don’t know if I could do it personally.

Here is a défend write up if anyone else, like me, was in the dark on this.

You beat me to it. I hate to be the one to judge and I realise it's going to come off that way, but I do find her choice in men strange: first Pete, who dated her friend prior to dating her, now Shia. Perhaps I'm biased because I don't like either of them and Shia is, as you've mentioned, in the middle of a lawsuit. I'm also under the impression that he cannot not get together with a woman he's working on a film (Mia Goth) or music video (FKA Twigs) with.

I will say, though, her paparazzi photos do keep me motivated, so that's that.

This 3D hasn’t been updated in a bit, but I think her new Netflix show ‘Maid’ is really touching and she’s still looking great.

I watched all 10 episodes of Maid on flights this week. It shows the financial reality of being a single mom and the horror of domestic violence. Margaret also looks absolutely amazing. She is skinny and beautiful (though intentional rugged-looking at times- still gorgeous because skinny)!

I’m working on getting some screenshots on here (Netflix blocks screenshotting on your phone- or else I would have LOVED snagging stills of her). Until then, here are some from her Fall/Winter 2022 show with Chanel. She closed the show as the “Bride” and was beautiful.

I was trying to get screengrabs from Maid like I said I would, but I came across these from imdb instead. It seems Margaret has not always been skinny! Looks like she had her natural, childhood skinniness until 2011/2012 and then definitely gained weight until 2019. Some of these photos pain me to post, but it’s so motivating to see her transformation!

I've been keeping tabs on Margaret for a while now as I find her incredibly endearing and strikingly beautiful, but having recently watched her new film "The Substance" I was a bit disappointed by the state of her figure. She showed a lot of skin in the film and she's definitely gained since the thread was updated. She either let herself go or deliberately gained weight for the part since her character was designed to simulate a man's idea of perfect (aka: big tits, big ass, "meat on the bones"; poor aesthetic taste, basically). I still think she looked beautiful, facially at least, but she's looked much, much better in the past.

As for the film itself... while I think the overarching theme is unique in that it probes how many women (especially aging women) view themselves in an image-focused/patriarchal world, it gets pretty redundant hammering that point in, especially towards the end. I won't give any spoilers because I think it's worth viewing for yourself - as long as you don't consider yourself squeamish about gore. Very fascinatingly grotesque visuals throughout.

She seems to have lost a bit of weight for/during promotions? Can't tell.

I think that’s the case; after all, she was given fake boobs to seem more ”curvy”. The movie was all about how Elisabeth desperately craved to be seen and recognized by men. Obviously, Sue, as her “better” version, had to be as sexually appealing as possible (not by our standards, of course, but you get the point) to really emphasize Elisabeth’s obsession with beauty and youth. Regardless, Margaret Qualley is always going to be gorgeous for me, such a captivating face :luv:

It’s soo worth seeing! Such a great movie. Personally, I loved the ending. Fargeat didn’t even try to hide the message, she gave it to us on a silver platter. Although it may have been a little bit over the top, it’s definitely what made “The Substance” unforgettable. Easily one of the best movies of 2024 for me.

I agree about it being one of my favorite movies of 2024 so far! My only complaint is that, towards the end, it became redundant in that I felt like I was being spoon-fed the message when I had already fully digested it ~40 minutes in. I tend to prefer media that trust the viewer to think on their own and string together their own interpretation via a more subtle expression of the message. I think everyone emerged with virtually the same takeaway with this film, though.

However that isn't to say I didn't enjoy it! There's still appeal in exaggeration when it's done right. Such raw performances - I was definitely fully invested and felt the whole range of emotions, which imo is the point of going to see movies in the first place.
