I don't mean to offend anyone, I actually quite like the punk style, even though it is not my personal one, but that just looks like a whale got caught in a fisher's net... :rolleyes:

I also like that she really tried the punk look, when you see what the others were wearing you know they wanted to play "safe". So she has got my respect for tying it out:)
But I miss feminity, I don't know, I have the feeling there is something missing. On a few pictures I really thought she looked way to manly. But Thats just how I perveived it;D
 
You know how in that silly movie called "Mean Girls" there is a Halloween party and Lindsay Lohan is the only one taking it "seriously" and actually wearing a scarry costume? (zombie bride). Same thing with Miley. She took it too "seriously" as well.

Even though she was big before she dressed ok and now she's let weight but still big it's lie as she loses each 0.1 pound her dress sense becomes more weirder and weirder.
Is it so bad that making fun of her is actually making me feel better? :lol:
 
Regarding her in that dress, to me she doesn’t look as bloated and if you look closely her face actually has some shape.. or that’s one hell of a makeup job..

I'm not a fan nor a specialist of punk, but it looks fake on her. I've see people who rock this style because it was their, it fitted them. They didn't try to "look like" but to show who they were. Miley doesn't do this.

LOL were you expecting real punk at a red carpet event? Considering punk is a lifestyle, whose essential tenets are a rejection of the mainstream and anti-materialism, the real punk thing would've been to stay home altogether because the MET gala is pretty much the embodiment of pretentious over-excess. Punk fashion was an after-effect of the punk movement; it was the style that came together as a result of people expressing their punk beliefs through their appearances (ex: ripped jeans to symbolize anti-materialism). Interpreting punk for the purpose of fashion (which is what the fashion industry did and still does) goes against punk itself, which was staunchly anti-fashion. So what some of the stars at the Met gala did was interpret the punk look. After all, SJP's dress is obviously not punk (a dress that costs thousands of dollars as part of a movement that rejects materialism? :wtf:). But it is an apt reinterpretation of a punk style that originated from the punk belief of freedom of expression, the DIY graffiti splatters (which in her case are gold foil, not paint). Miley's hair is obviously punk. I think the mesh dress refers to fishnets, which were popular in one subgenre of punk. Of course, it's your own opinion if you think she looks good or not, but the look itself is definitely an interpretation of punk (which covers a wide variety of looks btw), which is the best that could be done considering no one going to the Met gala could ever convey the true spirit of punk. If they dared try, they'd be labeled as a poseur ;)

I'm really over this hairstyle of hers. You have a lot of money, Miley. Pay someone to change it already.
 
Ok, so Miley's in all of these magazines, has this ridiculous new look (sorry but the only time that hair was acceptable was at the Met Gala which was punk themed), and is well....just everywhere. So here is my question:

What is she actually DOING? I mean work wise....what is she promoting?:wtf:
 
Considering the other outfits I've seen on her earlier, this one feels tame to me.
