What have you bought recently?

I got two of the Yohji Yamamoto x Hello Kitty (Kittys) Tops from A/W 2015-16 and I am soo excited about them, it's coming into winter soon and they are super perfect for wearing in the office for work!
I really love the paneling and draping of it, simple but effective!

I've been eyeing these Jeffrey Campbell and Sam Edelman shoes for a while now and I'm so excited to finally get them for myself<3 Black sling-backs are so chic, I feel like they'll go well with my work outfits.

Also, this moisturizer I invested in recently is so nice, I highly recommend (although the assistant at Ulta did let me know that if you have dust allergies, the glass skin by peach and lily is similar).

I just bought this swimsuit for the summer from an Independent lolita/retro brand. Its from a brand called le Flacon.

I did well on my exams so I purchased some makeup for myself:
1.) This Dior highlighter in the shade iridescent. The compact is absolutely adorable with the cannage-quilted top!

2.) Dior lip gloss in shade 019, shimmer peach. I've personally always preferred lip glosses over lipsticks because I don't have to worry about them melting or breaking.

3.) The Armani luminous silk foundation. This has been my favorite foundation ever: it is noncomedogenic, blends well and doesn't pill for me, and I like the light coverage. I also have very cool undertones in my skin and Armani carries a shade that matches my skin tone. A lot of foundations have undertones that make my skin look yellow-orange, as though I've had a bad spray tan, which is obviously not the look I'm going for.

The Dior backstage foundation is lovely as well. Light coverage, applies beautifully, and 1.5N is a true neutral with no weird undertones. It’s a shame their makeup is so nice because it makes it hard to settle for a dupe.

My mother and I went on a little shopping spree on Oxford street/Harrods yesterday; the retail therapy felt amazing after exams.

Couldn't resist... Harrods know what they are doing putting BOTH the perfumery and cosmetics on the ground floor - I practically threw my money at them. I was in need of another lip oil as my previous one is sadly stained from my lipliner addition


Mum bought last season's Mach & Mach Bow Pumps, we are the same size so best believe I will be wearing them when the occasion arises.


We've got a Roja Dove Semi Bespoke currently on hold I will update she decides to buy! If anyone does come take a trip to London- or already lives here, definitely check out their department (it's the very top floor- Harrods) their customer service is amazing.

I decided to splurge after receiving my internship pay.

Firstly, these Fairfax and Favor boots. I luckily bought them off Vinted for a fraction of the price.

This Solace London dress that I have been eyeing for a while. I went to a lot of black tie dinners last year and I realised that I didn't own any nice evening dresses.

Finally, this Barbour Polarquilt jacket. I bought it after my boyfriend was getting on to me for taking his jackets. I managed to buy it off Vinted for £16, which is amazing considering the jacket retails at £150.

The iconic, controversial, “Nothing tastes as good as skinny feels” Jonathan Adler pillow that was pulled from their website after too many articles criticized it, back in 2010… My white whale!

I just bought the Goyard Artois tote in green as a present for an achievement! It's such a convenient bag for school/work and travel, and I love the pop of color.

Needed a bag I could fit all of my books and laptop in for uni but still looked cute, so ended up buying the beige and navy palm tote bag from Vivienne Westwood. It’s pretty huge but I love that about it

Planning to get a ring to match too at some stage, I’m a huge Vivienne fan if you couldn’t tell - I love how her pieces are a mix of classic and a little bit edgy, it perfectly fits my own style. The bag and jewellery are very versatile too which I love.

In relation to @lattelover's post, I too am a HUGE Vivienne Westwood fan, though Vivienne herself was outwardly anti-religion, I loved her rebellious nature and so much of what she stood for. It's funny because her iconic Saturn pendant has the Cross pattée on it (medieval Catholic iconography). Picked up "Vivienne Westwood Catwalk" from Selfridges today!

I celebrated my birthday not too long ago and bought a few goodies to celebrate …Okay, maybe more than a few. In my defense, my hometown is very, very warm and last year I was brutally unprepared for even a Northeastern fall. Here are some of my lovely presents!

The bag was a need since I don’t have a mini black bag yet, and it’ll complete my outfits. I wanted a one piece and this one from Frankie’s was a perfect fit to my style.

I’ve had my eye on a pair of Carel Kinas (an Alexa Chung go-to) for over a year, and I finally caved and invested in a pair of the burgundy ones. I love them! They’re surprisingly comfortable for walking long distances, and the heel is the perfect length for elongating the legs.
