Honestly can't tell if her makeup is bad or if it just appears that way because her face is disturbingly plastic...

Don't worry, you don't sound ignorant!Pardon me for what I'm asking but I'm Italian and want to be sure to understand well.. I don't understand why are the Hadid sisters and the Kardashian family ( and I could go on with other examples) so famous and requested (I don't want to criticize anybody right here, I just want to understand the right way).
Of course I have read about them on Wikipedia but obviously it wasn't mentioned the real reason behind their success.
Why are the Hadid sisters so famous and requested in the fashion world? It's clear they do not deserve what they achieved in the fashion world.. it is just because they had powerful friendships?
What did they do to get where they are?
And the same about the Kardashian.. I know they are popular in the United States because of a reality show about the family, but what did they you do to have that show? Why did anyone decide to make a reality about that family?
Is Kim originally famous because she hanged with Paris Hilton?
Can Cara D. be considered a case of nepotism too?
I'm sorry for this questions, I think they might seem stupid and obvious for all of you, but I can't find satisfying answers here in Italy.. lots of people don't even know about Gigi, Bella, Kendall, Kim and Co. even if they are in a lot of billboards.
They are mostly known by teenagers because they are instagram followers, but they don't even know who they are really following..
I'm sorry for the ignorant question and I think who is going to clarify my doubts!
Don't worry, you don't sound ignorant!
As much as I hate the Kardashians, I'm fascinated by their phenomenon. They got popular from their reality show back in 2007, but before that they were socialites. Their biological dad was a defense attorney for OJ Simpson back in 1995 as well as one of his closest friends. All of America was intrigued by this case because OJ was a famous football player and so obviously guilty. Later, in the early 2000s, Kim gained media attention from being friends with Paris. Then in 2007, Kim's infamous sex tape with Ray J leaked. I guess the E Network saw this dysfunctional family and decided they could profit from them. I think people loved the show because the Kardashians were easy to make fun of, weird, and fascinatingly rich. I must admit, whoever is taking care of their business deals is doing a bang up job. Currently, they're mostly in the news for their horse-like butts.
Bella and Gigi's mom, Yolanda, is a former model and is on The Real Housewives of Beverly Hills. She was also married to musician David Foster. Gigi got media attention for dating Cody Simpson and Joe Jonas.
Cara is an example of nepotism because her godfather is the executive for Condé Nast. Her family has always been very rich.
All of these girls have tons of money and connections. Gigi, Kendall, and Cara do appeal to preteen/teenage girls with their pretty-but-not-striking looks, bubbly personalities (well not so much Kendall..), and links to teen heartthrobs like Zayn, Joe, and Harry. No one is quite sure why top designers are using them, but I assume it's out of desperation to appeal to a younger demographic and stay relevant.
Sorry for the essay, I hope that answered your questions.
that's more than cindy crawford or claudia schiffer have.....Gigi has 19 Vogue covers...
That should be illegal (Cindy and Claudia aren't even really my taste but)that's more than cindy crawford or claudia schiffer have.....
wish they were at other marches but i'm glad they at least have exercised some political engagement/used their fame for a cause as of lateCan I just say, I've gotta commend the Hadids for standing up for refugees and immigrants. I get that all we know that they've done is march, but it just feel genuine. I think it may be because both their parents are immigrants, Zayn identifies with the Muslim faith, and I totally will admit that I'm probably giving them too much credit.
Idk, I just thought I throw it out there and feel free to prove me wrong-it's not like I go out of my way to google them.
(and no, I am not saying one way or another that I support their stance on something; I'm just saying it's nice that they have a stance. I have one too, but this is not the right thread for it)
all that being said, can they please stop being ingenuine models
I mean I am happy that a lot of celebs are putting their name on this and 'protesting' but a part of me still thinks they cared more about getting their picture taken lol they didn't even had a sign or anything, there is a video where you can see they're taking someone else's sign just to take photo with it.^honestly? I think they haven't done enough lol do you know the amount of power/money they have? I doubt going to the streets one day is the most they could do tbh....
oh i agree just compared to any of my other "most-hated's" (jenner kardashian clan, baldwin, etc..) its at least something^honestly? I think they haven't done enough lol do you know the amount of power/money they have? I doubt going to the streets one day is the most they could do tbh....
For fuck's sake, why get so bent out of shape for this?I applaud their effort to at least try to do something, but they still seem pretty ignorant to me. Gigi was just caught squinting her eyes to mock Asians.. She should know better.
That's a hideous cover. The thighs. Specifically one set of thighs.Another Vogue cover..and our "beloved" Gigi is front and center
I'm pretty offended by how bloated her face looks tbh. She should really know better to mock an entire culture when her face looks like that. Half the time I honestly think she just came out of surgery or something based on how swollen her face is. Or she's legit anaphylactically allergic to work.I applaud their effort to at least try to do something, but they still seem pretty ignorant to me. Gigi was just caught squinting her eyes to mock Asians.. She should know better.
