I think this type of coverage is paradoxical and bizarre. Gigi/Bella are more well-known names among younger crowds than other models, and the fact they're regularly spotted eating shit food seems to help their popularity. Impressionable girls see them eating McDonald's like, "They're not like anorexic models! They're just like us!!" when obviously some compensating behavior goes on to reduce bloating/etc. before jobs.
So they're promoting unhealthy eating in addition to the myth that ~*~magically fast metabolisms~*~ exist. Their young fans are led to believe they have no control over their weight.
Ugh
As if eating crap makes someone more "real" or admirable. Excuse my ranting
