?) but he publicly shamed Bella for her surgeries and there were about a thousand comments on there being like 'no way I thought she was so naturally beautiful..'
then she tried to rebut it by saying this was a picture of her 14 year old self..clearly not

I absolutely agree. I think they are stunning. You can see hints of her thunder thighs here and there but the main focus is always on her few ~skinny features like her small calves and neck.
On the topic of cosmetic surgeries: I don't think there is anything shameful in altering your appearance through medical procedures. It's not harming anyone, it's not unethical in any way. And she looks much better with the new lips.

that photo on the bottom is when she was 16--she got her surgery in the summer of sophomore year, maybe junior at the latest...have pics she uploaded (fb) from all periods. Being a liar makes her even uglier....Living evidence that surgery doesn't make miracles

Why is cosmetic surgery some big shameable thing to people, I don't get. Now that I think about it, tho, most people who shame others about it either need it and can't afford it or there's no surgeon in the world who could make them attractive. Either way, jealousy.

She could have employed a better surgeon.
In some angles, it looks as though she got punched right between the eyes - flattening the bridge of her nose.
Still, her face looks much better now than before.
Nothing shameful about getting plastic surgery. Still, you shouldn't do it in your teens when you still have to grow into your looks and stuff (and you have insecurities that are probably going to disappear as you get older)...but that's her parents fault.
Considering a good photoshoot/photos are a combination of many, many factors, I think that Bella doesn't look terrible in this shoot. I really like the styling of this shoot, the colors (red & dark contrasts), the clothing, textures, etc and fortunately she doesn't distract me too much from it. In fact I like her dark hair in the photos. As far as plastic surgery, I actually don't care too much about it and I have said I think GiGi (and now bella) can look good at some angles (admittedly always either zen or fishfaced, pick one,so clearly minimal expression range), but are they a complete model package (body, and looking good in a number of expressions, angles, etc).....haha....NO, not by a long shot. They will always just be celeb/rich kid models not held to the same standards as the models working their way up from the bottom and will occasionally have their moments of looking OK in photos, such as here, and on the runway if thick parts are very strategically hidden.
I think I prefer Bella to Gigi. Bella has a more interesting look. I think if she dropped a lot of weight and learnt how to pose, she MIGHT be a somewhat decent model. Gigi is just so commercial. Even if she dropped a lot of weight, there's something boring and plain about her face. Though I still think Gigi has a better face than Kendall.
