Kaia this week. I can't tell if she's finally slimming down a bit or if her puppy's just getting bigger....

The family thanksgiving picture was taken yesterday on Thanksgiving, so judging by that, she is definitely not slimming down.
It’s also easier to look “thinner” from pap pictures from a distance zoomed in than from a much closer angle.
These from November 20 ( close angle) are heinous.

@Kiki posted about the reasons for Kaia’s weight gain in another thread. Surprised it wasn’t discussed at all when Kiki originally posted but I suspect it may have gotten lost in the other dRaMa going on at the time:

the reason I freaked out on Kaia's thread is because I know her personally and she is such a nice person, who gained weight on purpose in order to overcome some mental issues she was going through at her prime... I'll leave it at that.

Who knows if it’s true or not but whatever...thought it was worth re-posting

Honestly, I've been here too. Seeing a candid of me taken by the photog at an event is what got me right the fuck back on track. It was a wake up call for sure. It was a day event, and I was wearing a sleeveless top like Kaia, it was traumatizing because you always look fatter during the day...

I almost feel bad for her, she has such an unfortunate body type with her broad shoulders that she has to stay SG skinny to look good. Seems we only got one good season out of her Before she could even improve her walk... shame

Definitely worth reposting. Just to add I totally understand why you're all disappointed by Kaia's weight gain, this is skinny gossip and Kaia at her prime was thinspo to many of us (including myself) and she seemed confident at that time, so I was quite surprised when she opened up to me about the problems she was dealing with and what that could mean for her career if she continued to lose...

I think it's clear from her more recent work that she's lost that confidence and energy from her thin days (and ultimately, her appeal as a model.) However she did become medically healthier in the process

From experience, I feel there is definitely a type of adrenaline rush that comes with thriving on fewer calories which results in higher energy throughout the day, contrary to what a lot of fat people think about being low on energy from lack of food.

On the topic of Kaia, I feel like she’s genuinely a lovely person who I would consider well read and more intelligent than the regular bland “model”. This allows for a softer spot, but that’s just me.

I completely agree. I honestly feel a lot more focussed, energetic and ultimately happier on low calories, the fat people only get angry because they haven't got the same discipline and willpower as everyone here

Kaia is lovely and much more humble than most other nepo models like Gigi and narcissistic Kendall Although her gain is disappointing, it could be worseIl and I do fully support it because she still maintains self-discipline and won't allow herself to balloon up. (I'm looking at you Taylor)

This is nice to hear. And I feel for her because she’ll be struggling with the gain too. She’s in a difficult position and I don’t envy her.

TBH also gives me a bit of hope. After gaining for physical/mental health reasons, you can then lose to a pretty good point in a healthy way, as lot of us here have experienced. She doesn’t need to be at her tiniest to look lovely. But I have a real soft spot for Kaia .

First of all this comparison is brilliant second of all I kinda feel bad for the girl in the tiktok because she has scoliosis... but still I've seen her on quite a few memes and they're always hilarious!

As for the editorials... I hate to say it but honestly, since Kaia gained weight she lost every ounce of appeal as a model... All the work she has done since is mediocre at best and if she wasn't a product of nepotism she definitely would not succeed as a model now, which is a shame because she had *so* much potential when she was skinny.
