@pterodactyl - would definitely recommend ebates in the future, and going through Neiman Marcus. Try them on in store first (I vary with Louboutins in terms of size, So Kates for instance typically run small, and sandals I'm a full size bigger), but typically the ebates for Neiman Marcus you can get your purchase for 10-14% cash back. I've been thinking a lot about those two pair of shoes a lot recently .
The first one is a simple pair of black leather ankle boots from Acne studios and the other one is looking different, but that's what I like about it. I think they both look even better on the foot. Since I've been selling a lot of my old clothes right now and literally cleaning out my entire wardrobe, I think should get them for myself

Late response but I just saw this. I am quite partial to the “ugly sandal” shoe trend. The only thing I don’t love about the Chanel ones is the prominent logo. I have been eyeing off the Proenza Schouler Birkenstocks:

Though I don’t think I’ll buy them as I’d probably rarely wear them. I am much more of a boots or heels kinda girl! Did you end up buying the Chanels?

I'm glad to hear that I'm not the only one who likes the chunkier style of sandals. I actually didn't end up buying them because it was just too hard to find a pair in my size. They are literally sold out everywhere.
However, I really like the ones you sent, they look a bit more clean and classic, and don't scream 'designer' which I like. I am definitely not a high heel kind of girl but I do like boots and sneaker. And sometimes sandals with heels.
