Has anyone else noticed that Bella has been EVERYWHERE these days and Gigi has been totally MIA??

God I don't want to make any assumption but I really think Gigi isn't healthy.
I really hope Gigi comes back with some B-list movie role and that's why she's been MIA.
Or that she dropped the stupid idea of being a celebrity when she has the charm of a chair

I think her social media/presence in general is just so different from some time ago, she's rarely attending events and stuff. I don't know if she's trying to be more high fashion (lol) so she's over that all american/California girl image or she's trying to hide something. I think body wise she's been looking the best she ever did but her face looks like it aged 10 years in the span of ten months and she's grey. I looked at this gif on twitter and...yeah

I am not trying to say anything with this though, I just think she looked way more 'lively' until this year.

Why are they styling her in ways that emphasize her weight?? She would have at least looked passable with some volumized hair and covered upper arms -- but they went for tight revealing dress and severe bun. It just seems to purposely make it worse.
i feel like she picked the dress before she gained the weight--she fluctuates quite quickly/dramatically...

she seems tired, coke-d out, and bored....she doesn't take care of herself nearly enough to keep up with her job, she's even getting wrinkles at 21 it's weird
Maybe she is just tired and coked out then. Like think of who her pose is. No way Zayn doesn't dabble once in a while  and what's up with the blind items re domestic violence (against him?). Must be a sliver of truth in them

Tangential comment/question, but curious to know the presence of drugs in your lives/how you handle it? Maybe this is a question for a lifestyle thread, but I'm finding that increased wealth generally correlates to increased drug use. This was never an issue for me but is becoming more and more prevalent. Since I don't partake it's hard to handle sometimes/decipher how much is "normal." Has anyone else experienced this?

there's a thread on this already!

definitely disagree with the wealth thing too--powder cocaine use, Xanax, even marijuana--absolutely...but wealthier people are far less likely to be swept into the prescription drug crisis (as well as opiates, etc.) because those people tend to have access to better medical care, physical therapy, etc. (at least in the US) and as a result, are not unnecessarily prescribed deeply addictive medication without supervision in the first place. Also, the drug use of wealthy people tends to be talked about more publicly, but is done in a nicer, more romanticizing way (rather than as shameful, dirty, lazy, dangerous, pathetic, etc.) because our culture worships wealth, fame, and whatever else, and as a result, is in awe at whatever is associated with it. Talking about Gigi and Zayn doing loads of coke in a club is going to be more entertaining to most people than hearing about poor, newly jobless coal miners becoming addicted to heroin and dying at unprecedented rates in Kentucky. However, I will digress in that plenty of really wealthy people (usually white) use drugs with little consequence (at least, in terms of being arrested) whereas poor people, POC in particular, are arrested at extremely disproportionate rates for their rates of use. I have a lot more thoughts on all of this, but that's all for now.

I think that weak is relative. Gigi looked very "healthy" before. Now she looks slimmer-- almost like an actual model. Almost (and less the big bird yellow)...

I like this icy looking Gigi so much more. Meanwhile her sister, whatever fake nose & face's real name is (I'm so happy I have suddenly forgotten) looks like she's trying to pull off a certain look and failing miserably. And, also, rewind to the actual 90s and basically every singer and starlet who appeared in the baggy pant sports bra look made it look 1000x better than what is going on in that above hot mess of a picture...oh crap, of Bella. Her name came back to me. I knew it would be too good to be true.

None in my personal life. In my professional life/job I am exposed daily to addicts, dealers etc... you'd be surprised how addiction doesn't discriminate based on wealth, but I do find people with fucked up family dynamics and poor coping abilities tend to use drugs as a crutch whenever something goes "wrong", whereas the rest of us might sit down, rationally think about the best course of action and go from there. There are lots of comorbid (usually untreated) psychiatric illnesses, which compounded by poor coping abilities make certain people more likely to turn to drug use. Ex: just today I was talking to a patient about anxiety management... personally I have several coping mechanisms, none of which involve running out and buying a bottle of xanax. But that is her "preferred" method which incidentally is causing her a lot of grief/further anxiety in her life.

As for what is "normal", depends on your profession. Imo the second it starts affecting your work/personal life, it's a problem and you need treatment. It's a very thin line.

Back on topic... imo Gigi doesn't look weak?? Better than before but she's not even super skinny by model standards. Before she was very "healthy"; now she is acceptable... although there is still room to lose on her upper arms/body.

Also- how does her losing weight suddenly make her seem "frail" and "weak" whereas all non-nepotism models go through the same process and it's not a big deal? Homegirl can't win. She's either fat and we hate her, or she loses weight and now looks "sick"
