@espressoenthusiast @ZeroDiet thanks for your thoughtful responses. Regarding the thread - it's less of drug of choice/more of normalizing the behavior of my peers that interests me. To clarify, I agree that there's an epidemic affecting primarily the lower/lower-mid socioeconomic classes due to over-prescription/self-medication. By 'wealth,' I'm referring to the self-made and/or old-money that uses drugs primarily for fun rather than a medication of a condition. I am definitely included in that 'self-made' portion, and although I have disposable income, I don't enjoy drugs as a source of entertainment. I find that most people my age/status have a higher inclination to blow money on drugs as a form of self-diagnosed importance: I will do this because I can. I don't believe they are actually addicted or care about the perceived affluence they obtain while on said drugs. This type of behavior is disconcerting to me since I have little interest in displaying power/wealth/diverting to such flagrant standards. Maybe I should move my responses to the aforementioned thread? xo

Talking specifically about recreational use rather than self-medication, IME drug use per se definitely doesn't correlate with wealth (especially as significantly wealthy people tend to be older and have more responsibility and are therefore less interested in a party lifestyle), but type of drug does; of course wealthy people who can afford cocaine would probably choose that over say, mephedrone or speed. My impression is that drug use is often related to a high-stress and\or boring lifestyle, eg it is more common among share traders and the unemployed than university academics. I know that my friends who work in low-level admin or manual jobs are generally longing for the weekend when they can get wasted and forget about the tedium... big generalisations and completely anecdotal though.

I've been in a few friendship groups where drugs were not only the primary form of entertainment but almost the default way of spending time and a big proportion of the conversations were about who owed who money for drugs, where we could score, who should get the last line... Not very edifying. Even though these friends were intelligent, kind and funny etc, the group just ended up being dominated by the drug and got boring. The best way to handle it is to: a) find new friends who have interests you share b) instigate other activities with your current friends so you can spend time with them sober. You don't have to be a party-pooper, just change the situation where you interact to one that appeals to you more.

Is anyone else wondering what the fuck that outfit is? Or do we take tacky style with this family as a given?

I think that weak is relative. Gigi looked very "healthy" before. Now she looks slimmer-- almost like an actual model. Almost (and less the big bird yellow)...

I like this icy looking Gigi so much more. Meanwhile her sister, whatever fake nose & face's real name is (I'm so happy I have suddenly forgotten) looks like she's trying to pull off a certain look and failing miserably. And, also, rewind to the actual 90s and basically every singer and starlet who appeared in the baggy pant sports bra look made it look 1000x better than what is going on in that above hot mess of a picture...oh crap, of Bella. Her name came back to me. I knew it would be too good to be true.
I think her not giving me 'healthy' vibes doesn't have anything to do with her weight. She just looks very off, her face looks so aged and If there was one thing I agreed with designers who have used her in the past, is that she was very energic, had a sunny/cheerful personality and she's completely losing it. I don't want to read too much into this though because I don't like to and it's not my business, her sister Bella was losing a lot too but she looked good. Even if her body is looking miles better now, I can't say she looks 'good' or take her as an example because she looks exhausted and sick. But I really hope this isn't the case because she's so young, nepotism aside I wouldn't wish bad health/ED problems on anyone

Back on topic... imo Gigi doesn't look weak?? Better than before but she's not even super skinny by model standards. Before she was very "healthy"; now she is acceptable... although there is still room to lose on her upper arms/body.

Also- how does her losing weight suddenly make her seem "frail" and "weak" whereas all non-nepotism models go through the same process and it's not a big deal? Homegirl can't win. She's either fat and we hate her, or she loses weight and now looks "sick"
I don't hold anything against her at all - I've always said she's a decent print model and has a really pretty face to me. I was actually hoping she would lose. I was actually enjoying looking at photos of her sister when she was preparing for the VS show/losing, so I wouldn't have any problem admitting that Gigi is looking great

She looks sullen in my opinion and paler. That is maybe why she looks 'sickly' to some. I wouldn't automatically assume there's anything wrong except for having a resting bitch face as her go to expression? Restricting isn't always the happiest endeavor to undertake... especially if you're an emotional eater. Not that I know if she is, but self-discipline can suck for someone that was relatively undisciplined before. Personally I think she looks better.

That's it, I feel genuine dislike towards this girl. She has zero respect for the industry, which makes sense given her entry into it, but still.

I completely agree. That was my concern as well. There is no denying she has lost weight and has toned up but she is looking weak in the sense that she does not look 22!! Besides aged she always just looks so glazed over these days. Of course she's under no obligation to put on a happy face (especially for the paparazzi) but in the past she always used to look so lively. I mean she was literally wearing the happiest color from head to toe and she still looked dead lol

Giiirl did you saw her body in 2015? Do you really think she's not restricting...she gained now but she's not eating burgers everyday anymore
She could at least eat a GOOD burger. That thing looks half stale and just straight up gross.. :(

If glazed over is your concern I can easily think of twenty different reasons for that besides eating issues. I don't even know what point I'm trying to make anymore but weak =/= exhausted =/= pale =/= sick. I don't think she LOOKS sick per se, miserable maybe, but not sick.

I don't know if the Hadids are sick, but certainly they make ME sick.

Tschee Tschee please, do us all a favour, stay at home ! Even Melania looks less miserable than her. And Bella Stella ? Now with a stupid fringe, never worked harder when she pouted / duck-faced on yesterday's red carpet attempting to give her face any sharp feature.
